Top Officers with State Championship Runner-up Trophy

Buchholz makes statement at state!
The Golden Regiment made only its second appearance at the FMBC State Championship on Nov. 21st and made a huge jump from last year’s initial entry into the State Championship Finals. Buchholz came in 2nd Place in the Semi-Finals by only .2 and won the following caption awards:

1st Place Music Performance
1st Place Individual Music Performance
1st Place Individual Visual Performance


Having qualified for the evening Finals performance, the Golden Regiment put forth its best performance of the season earning the following placement awards:

1st Place Visual Performance
1st Place General Effect Music Performance
2nd Place Overall Music Performance
(by only .5!)
2nd Place Overall General Effect Performance (by only .15!!!)


When all tabulations were completed, Buchholz was named the FMBC State Runner-up Band with a score of 87.055 behind State Champion Winter Park which scored an 87.580! What an amazing return to the State Championships by Buchholz! A well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS to the Golden Regiment for an OUTSTANDING season!!!

Top Officers after the Golden Regiment's Grand Championship (Nov. 7, 2009)

THIRD GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE SEASON!
The Golden Regiment has done it again posting another season-high score of 90.0 at its final Regional prior to the State Championship. In addition, Aviance and our Percussion section won 1st place with season-high scores of 91 and 94, respectively! Buchholz will be stepping onto the Tropicana Dome field with the top score of all 90 bands participating at the State Championship! Congratulations Golden Regiment!

  • BHS has 10 students make All-State for a 4th consecutive year!

ANOTHER GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP!
The Golden Regiment swept all major caption awards at the Southern Showcase of Champions on October 31st including: Best Music, Best Brass, Best Woodwinds, Best Visual, Best General Effect, Best Auxiliary, and Best Drum Majors. With Distinguished Superior ratings in all categories, Buchholz is top seed for the State Championships with a season-high score of 87.80! Congratulations Golden Regiment!

GRAND CHAMPIONS AGAIN!
The Golden Regiment swept both Prelims and Open Class Finals winning all major caption awards at the Middleburg Super-Regional including: Best Music, Best Brass, Best Woodwinds, Best Visual, Best General Effect, and Best Auxiliary. With Distinguished Superior ratings in all categories, Buchholz qualified for the State Championships with a high score of 86.35! Congratulations Golden Regiment!
