Mission
By definition, the role of the booster organization is to support the band program in a positive manner. The purpose of the Buchholz Band Boosters is to advance the best interests of the Buchholz High School Bands and Aviance by providing support, as requested by the band director. All parents or guardians of students enrolled in the Band or Aviance are members of the Band Boosters organization. Maintaining a thriving band program requires support and funding beyond that provided by the school system.
The Buchholz Band Boosters, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was formed in 1971 to provide this support. Specific objectives include the following:
-Provision of funds for the purchase/repair of instruments/equipment, as requested by Band Director
-Purchase and maintenance of uniforms
-Organization and implementation of fundraising activities
-Furnishing chaperones/volunteers for band events
-Website maintenance
-Encouraging new parent involvement and leadership development
-Stimulate and maintain an enthusiastic interest and support for all phases of the band program
-Support and advocate for music programs in the public schools
